How PickItLeague Works
One pick per gameweek, one team at home and one away across the entire season. 40 allocations, 38 gameweeks, two will go unused.
The Allocation System
This is the core mechanic that makes PickItLeague different from other prediction games. It forces strategic thinking across the full season, not per gameweek.
20 Home Allocations
Each of the 20 Premier League teams plays 19 home games. You pick each team at home at most once. That gives you 20 home picks for the entire season.
Example: You pick Arsenal at home in GW3 vs Brighton. Arsenal at home is now used for the season. If Arsenal host Man City in GW25, you cannot pick them.
20 Away Allocations
Same system for away teams. Each team plays 19 away games. You pick each team away at most once. 20 away picks for the season.
Example: You pick Liverpool away at Wolves in GW8. Liverpool away is now used. You cannot pick Liverpool away again this season.
The Strategic Tradeoff
You make one pick per gameweek across 38 gameweeks, but have 40 allocations (20 home + 20 away). That means two allocations will always go unused. Choosing which two to sacrifice is a core part of the strategy. Do you use Man City at home against a promoted side in September, or save them for a relegation rival in April? Every pick has a cost: you cannot use that allocation later.

Common Questions
Do I need to pick every gameweek?
Yes. One pick per gameweek. Miss a week and you get 0 points, played and losses go up by 1, and goal difference stays the same. It shows as a missed pick, treated as a loss. You cannot catch up the next week. Allocations you do not use stay unused.
What if two teams play each other and I have used both allocations?
You cannot pick that fixture. Plan ahead to avoid getting locked out of high-value matches late in the season.
When is the pick deadline?
Picks lock at the scheduled kickoff time for each fixture. You can change your pick any time before kickoff.
What about postponed matches?
If a match is postponed, your pick carries over to the rescheduled date and resolves when the match is played.
